Celebrity Makeup: Jessica Alba, MET Gala 2012
I always look forwards red carpet events such as awards night like the Academy Awards and ball or galas like the famous MET Gala, where almost every celebrities and well known figures in Hollywood gather together looking dashing and dazzling. I love this events as I see beautiful gowns and hairstyles but most of all really gorgeous makeup.
One of my favorite look in the recent MET Gala would have to be Jessica Alba’s 20s inspired makeup. There are other celebrities who sported this style and they look equally fabulous but I just really like Jessica Alba’s look the most. Her makeup went very well with her side swept hair and glamorous gown that really screams old Hollywood.
You can also achieve this look, if you’re looking for something different and classic for a formal event, if you’re already tired of going for the nude or smokey eye look then follow these few easy steps. Start with a fresh and well moisturized face to have that flawless canvass for foundation and concealer. Once your face is set fill in the the sparse areas of your brows to have that shaped and groomed eyebrows. Apply an eyeshadow primer all over your lid to make your eye color pop out even more. Bring your bronze shades and apply on the lid of your eyes. Start out with a lighter shade from the inner corner of your eyes blended towards the center and a darker shade of bronze on your crease to give depth to your eyes. Line your eyelids with a dark brown liner. Curl your lashes and apply 2 -3 coats of mascara. You can also use fake lashes for a fuller look. Dab a berry shade of blush on the apples of your cheeks blended upwards toward your temples and finish your entire vintage look by using a deep berry shade of lipstick to fill your lips.
